Go, Girl! (How Women Travel)
Indeed, there is a great difference in how men and women travel. For men, women are fussy and just plain high-maintenance. However, there is more to just being very particular and overly-sensible.
PACKING – Deal with it: women pack more than men. For every one piece of underwear that men need, women need two. Also, unlike the men who can rely on a single bar of soap as shampoo, body wash, shaving cream, and deodorant, women bring pretty much everything they use at home, with a few extras.
PLANNING – Women pay attention to even the littlest details: transportation schedules, reservation systems, facilities and the like. Men, on the other hand, are just concerned if there is a bed to sleep on (maybe not even). While men are more skilled with how to go where, what to do there, which bar has the cheapest beer, women are more concerned with what food is being served, if the toilets are working, and if there is a nearby shopping area.
ACTIVITIES – Men are happy just to find a bar that serves good food and cheap beer. Women, however, are more intricate with travelling activities. Aside from shopping, women are very much interested with sight-seeing and visiting historical places. Women are also more interested in experiencing foreign culture while men are happy to just go through it all.
