Identity Theft Coverage
If your wallet or belongings were stolen during your trip, I’m hoping that yo were able to get an Identity Theft coverage in your travel insurance plan. A lot of bad things can happen: they can use your credit card to buy items, they can sell your identification cards to anyone they want. They can use the information in your wallet to get more money.
This coverage will allow the victim to report the identity theft to the authorities, wherein they will guide you on what to do next. This also covers any damage done to your credit report.
The coverage can last until six months after the trip and you’ll be reimbursed depending on the travel insurance policy.
